Keeping Celtic and Bluegrass Music Alive

I Would Like To Keep Celtic and Bluegrass Alive!

I am in the process of learning how to sing kinda late at age of 42, it’s never too late to teach an old person new tricks. I am on our worship team at church that has encouraged me to get more involved with the music that I love, which is Country, Gospel, Bluegrass and Celtic and when I’m in the mood I listen to Jazz.

All my life since I was young I have always been interested in music and wanted to follow my heart into singing well I have the chance finally to do what my dreams have been for the past 40 years. Tennis had taken over my dream of singing and possibly becoming an artist myself but sometimes the course we pick for our lives does lead us back to what we had first set our hearts to do.

Celtic music is the root of Bluegrass. I would like to encourage people to keep this type of music alive and not let the ways of today’s world end it. It is a great tradition that goes back generations. People who came over here from Ireland brought with them their wonderful music and that it had kept them uplifted going through the many trials and tribulation’s over in Ireland and also when they were the pioneers of our country in the hardships that they faced in the mountains of Virginia, West Virginia, the Carolina’s and Tennessee. I will collect more history and post it here for people to see how important this music was. If it wasn’t for this music there wouldn’t be others like country to follow.

Here is some of the artist I listen to on a regular basis and I would like to share them with you. There are so many artist who have kept this going, I will list a few here but there are so many more. If you would like to share with me who your favorites are please do share.

Celtic Woman, Patty Loveless, Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, Ricky Scaggs, Allison Krauss, Rhonda Vincent, Celtic and that music is root of Bluegrass these people are keeping the tradition moving right a long.

I would like to encourage people to keep this type of music alive and not let the ways of today’s world end it. It is a great tradition that goes back generations, if it wasn’t for this music there wouldn’t be others like country to follow.

I have been getting comments from young people like in their 20’s who are interested in this type of music and for them to choose to listen to this with all the other types of music out there that is attracting young people and how it is getting them into numerous corrupted things, has amazed me. This music is wholesome and it tells a story that comes from the deep heart I would rather hear something that is REAL!!

Oh by the way I have at my space the people I mention here on my list of friends if you would like to visit their sites feel free
